To ensure that your boxing gloves last the test of time, it is important to make sure you take good care of them, here are some easy steps to follow:
1) Using a Glove Deodorizer
To make sure your Boxing Gloves are always smelling fresh we recommend the " Meister Nun Chucks Deodorizers ". These are a must for your Gym Bag as they help to dry out your Boxing Gloves and leave them smelling fresh for your next workout, also great if you are one for forgetting to take them out of your gym bag and airing them out, which is still a very important part of caring for your Boxing Gloves. The Nun Chucks come in 3 different scents and can be used in other sporting gloves and shoes.
2) Wipe them down with vinegar
This is a cheap and effective way to clean and kill bacteria from inside and outside your Boxing Gloves.
It is crucial that your Boxing Gloves are taken out of your sports bag after every use, hanging them upside down to air out.
How to:
Using a spray bottle mix 1 table spoon of vinegar and the rest water, great way to deodorize your boxing gloves. Wiping the inside and outside of your gloves with a rag or a cloth and let them air out, you can also add 5 drops of tea tree oil for extra anti- fungal action.
3) Conditioning the leather
Conditioning the leather on your boxing gloves once or twice a month will keep your gloves from cracking, if your gloves were to start cracking then you could find that bacteria may enter your gloves from the cracks and once this occurs you are less likely to remove the smell from your boxing gloves.
Conditioning your boxing gloves with natural and synthetic oil based creams into the leather of your gloves will help keep them lasting longer.
Coconut is a great natural oil to keep the boxing gloves conditioned, leave for 3-5 minutes and wipe over with a micro fibre clothe to get rid of the excess.
